Las Vegas Airport Connector Tunnel new upgrade

Traffic at the Las Vegas Airport Connector Tunnel will be reduced to one lane beginning Sunday when a project to remove signs begins.

According to airport officials, 40 overhead, ceiling-mounted life safety signs will be removed and replaced with upgraded models.

The work will affect northbound lanes and traffic will be reduced to one lane to the shoulder during work hours, which are scheduled from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.

The project is expected to take five weeks to complete.

Officials also said a concrete pouring will also affect northbound lanes from the tunnel into Terminal 3 during six work days between Dec. 5 and Dec. 20. Traffic exiting the tunnel will be diverted around the work area.
