Las Vegas October airport traffic up 4.5 percent

Las Vegas International Airport in Las Vegas saw an increase of nearly 160,000 passengers in October compared with the same month last year.

Officials reported Thursday that 3.7 million people passed through the airport this October. That was up 4.5 percent from October 2010.

A total of 35 million passengers used Las Vegas Airport during the first ten months this year up 4.4 percent from the 33 million who passed through the airport during the same period in 2010.

American, Continental and US Airways all reported handling more passengers in October than a year earlier. Delta handled 6.2 percent fewer passengers
