The Top Things To Do In Las Vegas

Sin City is more than just bright lights and casinos. The gambling is only a fraction of why people choose to travel to Las Vegas every single year. Regardless of what your budget is, there are dozens of different things you can do within this city alone, with your family or with a group of friends so that everyone has the time of their lives.

Hit as many shows as you can. Just about every hotel on the strip has shows. You can watch magic shows, Cirque du Soleil acts, dancing, comedy and much more. Often, itís possible to get these tickets right from your hotelís concierge desk. Look for discounts, too, to help you save money.

Enjoy various free things in Vegas, too. Every hotel has something to attract people to the hotel in order to get business at the slot machines and table games. You can enjoy all of these attractions for free without putting any money in the casino (unless you really want to). MGM has a lion habitat where you can watch huge lions play with toys, be fed and interact with each other. There are aquariums in many of the casinos and the Bellagio has the dancing fountains at night. There is also the Sirens and Pirates show at Treasure Island each evening.

If you love art, there are plenty of places to go to see some of that, as well. The Wynn has beautiful art displays throughout the hotel. Many of the other casinos have art galleries as well, which you can check out at your discretion.

Hop on a few rides to get some great views of the entire Las Vegas Strip. The ride at Paris takes you to the top of the Eifel Tower. The Stratosphere has an elevator to take you to the highest point on the strip as well as several rides that send you flying off the edge, if you like an adrenalin rush. The Venetian also has gondola rides inside and outside of the hotel if you want a limited view that is very relaxing.

If you rent a car or join a tour group, you can easily get to Red Rock Canyon or the Hoover Dam in under an hour. Both of these have spectacular views and shouldnít be missed if you have the time to check them out. The Hoover Dam gives full tours of the dam place and Red Rock allows you to explore it on your own.

No matter what you love to do, Las Vegas has it. Many of the attractions are free, but if you get a coupon book, which is available at just about every hotel, you can get discounts on many of the other attractions that do cost money, too.
