Las Vegas Airport Wi-Fi
How To Use Wi-Fi At Las Vegas/Harry Reid International Airport (LAS)
Whether you’re just landing at Las Vegas Airport to start your vacation in this globally famous gambling and entertainment destination, or waiting to take a flight home after a fun trip here, you can always stay connected online thanks to free Wi-Fi available throughout the two terminals.
If you’re arriving at the airport, this means you’ll be able to use your smartphone or other handheld device to check the weather, plan the journey to your hotel, look up dining and drinking options and more. And if you’re waiting to board a departing flight, having Wi-Fi lets you catch up on emails and work, check the latest flight information or just browse the internet.
In addition to the Wi-Fi being free throughout the airport, other benefits include that there are no restrictions on how many devices you connect to the network and there are no time limits. That’s great news if your flight ends up being delayed by several hours because you will be able to use the free Wi-Fi for however long you’re left waiting before you depart.
Step by step guide for connecting to Las Vegas Airport Wi-Fi
If you would like to use the complementary Wi-Fi at Las Vegas Airport, follow these steps:
- Check that your phone or other electronic device has its Wi-Fi ability switched on
- Open the internet settings on your device
- Find the list of available Wi-Fi networks that you can connect to
- Look for a network named “McCarran WiFi” and connect to that
- Open your preferred web browser
- The Las Vegas Airport website will load automatically
- You’ll be asked to click to agree to the conditions and terms of usage
- Once you agree, you’ll have free Wi-Fi usage
Important note: Until 2021, Las Vegas Airport was named McCarran International Airport, which explains why the Wi-Fi network is labeled “McCarran WiFi” – but it’s possible that the network name may be updated. If you can’t find the “McCarran WiFi” network then just look for network names like “Harry Reid WiFi” or “Free Las Vegas Airport WiFi” and connect to those.
Using Wi-Fi in Las Vegas Airport’s passenger lounges
There are some passenger lounges available throughout the two airport terminal buildings, where members of individual airline loyalty programs or people that buy same-day passes can have access to comfier furniture, free food and drink, reading material, televisions – and some of these lounges may have their own private Wi-Fi network reserved just for guests. This Wi-Fi is also free but is usually much faster than the connection available throughout the airport.
If you are using one of these lounges then you should ask a staff member if there is a free Wi-Fi network just for passengers in the lounge. They will be able to help guide you through the steps of connecting to their network, as the process will be different than using the main airport Wi-Fi.
